THE GUARDIAN has obtained a DEED OF TRUST that places Caldwell East Urban Renewal Agency as part legal owner in a large apartment complex near Walmart. The instrument is dated April 28th, 2003.
"the Caldwell East Urban Renewal Agency (the "CEURA"), a public body corporate and politic of the State of Idaho, having its principal office located at 621 Cleavland Blvd. Caldwell, Idaho 83606. or order the principal sum of One Hundred Fifty Thousand and 00/100 Dollars ($150,000) plus interest from the date and at at rate as established herein.
Principal and interest (at a rate of 0%) are payable in installments as follows:"
Bottom line is Mayor Nancolas and his urban renewal team issued an interest free loan to the developer of this project with property tax increment money diverted to urban renewal. Why is the city lending money in this manner?

Agree or disagree just do it without profanity or it won't get posted. Try to keep your comments to no more than 300 words. Too long and I will try to edit it down or simply delete the comment. The whole idea is to get people to read your comment. Don't use 10 words when one will do the job.
It's OK to have a difference of opinion but keep it civil. I have used the "delete" feature on myself at times.
The ANONYMOUS feature for comments seems to be the most user friendly. People have commented they have difficulty with the other methods of posting comments.

ReplyDeleteThe more I hear about CEURA and our elected official the more concerned I get! This smells just like the whole mess at the Idaho Transportation Department's, vehicle registration and lisence departments. How do we get an audit or official review? Does this go so deep that we can't trust anyone local to check its legality? Time for a change!!!!!!!!!!!
