Passport Office Closed Week of May 14th

Canyon County Passport Office will be closed the week of May 14th.  The clerks for this office will be busy during this week getting ready for the May primary election.

If you need a passport or the services of this office you will have to get to another county offering that service.

THE GUARDIAN plucked this off the Canyon County website and is trying to give everyone a heads-up so you can go in early if you are in need of a passport.

  1. What are they doing with the building?
Looks like a good place to move SILD, Pre trial release and alternative sentencing to from their extremely cramped corner in the jail. This would give those programs room to grow reducing our need for hard cells in the jail.

    1. They are doing nothing wit the building The last I was aware Passports had been moved into the main courthouse and the elections office is used for elections personnel only.

Passport services will not be available the week of 5/14/12.

  2. What a waste of space. I guess this is how they will justify the "Need" for a new 10 million dollar administration building.

A public discourse on the issues of the day makes the world a better place.

We welcome comments but they will be moderated and edited if too long or do not have anything to do with the post.
Agree or disagree just do it without profanity or it won't get posted. Try to keep your comments to no more than 300 words. Too long and I will try to edit it down or simply delete the comment. The whole idea is to get people to read your comment. Don't use 10 words when one will do the job.

It's OK to have a difference of opinion but keep it civil. I have used the "delete" feature on myself at times.

The ANONYMOUS feature for comments seems to be the most user friendly. People have commented they have difficulty with the other methods of posting comments.
