Early Voting Starts October 7th, 2013

THE GUARDIAN received word from the good people at the elections office about early voting start date.  You can start voting early on October 7th.  Typically it will stop on the Friday before elections.  That date is November 1st.

Only a little over 3,800 people made the effort to vote during the last mayoral election and even less are expected this time around.  This means every vote counts even more than ever.

Several people have approached me about not taking time off from the blog until the election is over and I am reluctant to do so because of a tendency to drift away from issues and having to moderate "snarky" anonymous posts either for or against candidates in various races.  People tend to take it personally when what they have to say is edited or outright removed.

  1. I hope you will continue to use this forum to put your point of view out for people to see. I don't believe Mr. Nancolas will concern him self with such petty things as playing fair.

  3. We are very excited to have you run for mayor of Caldwell. We would like to support you. Where can we get lawn signs? We want everyone to be aware there is another choice for Caldwell and that means "get registered and vote!"

A public discourse on the issues of the day makes the world a better place.

We welcome comments but they will be moderated and edited if too long or do not have anything to do with the post.
Agree or disagree just do it without profanity or it won't get posted. Try to keep your comments to no more than 300 words. Too long and I will try to edit it down or simply delete the comment. The whole idea is to get people to read your comment. Don't use 10 words when one will do the job.

It's OK to have a difference of opinion but keep it civil. I have used the "delete" feature on myself at times.

The ANONYMOUS feature for comments seems to be the most user friendly. People have commented they have difficulty with the other methods of posting comments.
